IL PADRINO

I watched that great film last night…and all I can say about it is…simply AMAZING!!
Some people say that “IL PADRINO” was the first film, the finest work about a well-known topic as MAFIA is. Then, the other movies were influenced by
the best film.

The length of Il Padrino’s movie is more or less three hours. When someone tells us that a film lasts so long we usually think that it’ll be boring or hard to pay attention all the time…but that’s not the fact!
IL PADRINO is setting on the 70’s. Maybe there are some scenes on the film that seem quite false, but thinking about the year of its creation…is absolutely gorgeous!!
Actually, IL PADRINO won all the prizes that was opting on the Oscars.

However, I’m going to talk about the film…
On the 70’s, in the heart of New York’s city, there was a rich family. The Corleone's family. They had this family name because years ago, their family was born in Corleone, a little village situated in Sicilia, on the South of Italy.
The men of that family were all in mafia’s world. They were experts on it, for sure. They bribed to police and to the government, the most important people has been bought by them. They cheated on poker games and all related to that world, to get great sum of money. They swindled, they fooled everyone, they manipulated a lot of business and if some enemy tried to hurt them or damage their job…they killed him and they never were able to feel guilty. All those things were only job for them, but there was only a sacred thing to them…THE FAMILY. Family was their life, everything to them…and if someone tried to hurt Corleone’s family, even for a little nonsense… he would be murdered.

On business they were always together, every decision, every step were decided by all the members. They never wanted to act alone. Don Vito Corleone was “IL CAPO”, the family’s boss. The oldest man, but at the same time the most clever. He loved more than anything his family, and he had been all his life trying to protect them and looking after them, to give them a better life. His sons always helped them in everything because he was all for them. Corleone’s family could be in a bad world of business, but they never forgot the love that they had to their family. Good friends were also protected by them. They could kill anyone, and feel nothing…but good friends were
irreplaceable.

I recommend this film to everyone because it teaches you a lot, I swear. All right, they were on mafia’s world and perhaps they did things that are absolutely terrible, things that everyone would want to forget. But they had the most wonderful thing on life…LOVE. Their families love, their friends love…they were loved by their mum, their dad, their brothers, their sons, their best friends...and anyone can buy that love with money or with guns. Because THAT’S TRUE LOVE.
